Your aging roof does not always need to be replaced. If your shingles still have structural integrity but have lost their flexibility, are drying out, and shedding granules, a professional roof rejuvenation treatment can restore their performance and extend your roof’s life by years at a fraction of replacement cost. At Roof Keepers we use Roof Maxx, a plant-based bio-oil treatment that penetrates aging asphalt shingles and restores the natural oils lost to weathering and age. As Fargo’s only certified Roof Maxx dealer we give every homeowner an honest assessment of whether their roof qualifies before recommending anything.
Modern asphalt shingles contain significantly less asphalt than shingles manufactured a generation ago. That means they dry out faster, lose flexibility sooner, and reach the end of their useful life earlier. As shingles age and lose their natural oils they become brittle, start to crack, shed granules, and lose the ability to shed water effectively.
Roof rejuvenation with Roof Maxx restores those lost oils directly into the shingle material. The treatment penetrates through the granule layer into the asphalt itself, rehydrating brittle shingles, restoring flexibility, and improving water shedding ability from the inside out. Independent laboratory testing has shown that treated shingles demonstrate significantly improved moisture resistance, hail impact resistance, and fire resistance compared to untreated shingles of the same age.
Roof rejuvenation is not the right solution for every roof and we will always be upfront about that. Here is what makes a good candidate for a Roof Maxx rejuvenation treatment:
Your shingles are between 5 and 15 years old and showing signs of aging but still have structural integrity with no significant missing sections or decking damage.
Your roof has not been previously coated with a sealant or waterproof coating that would prevent the treatment from penetrating the shingle surface.
Your shingles are asphalt. Roof Maxx rejuvenation is specifically formulated for asphalt shingle roofs and is not applicable to metal, tile, or flat roofing systems.
If your roof qualifies a rejuvenation treatment can extend its life by up to five years per treatment with up to three treatments possible over 15 years. If it does not qualify we will tell you honestly and give you the best path forward.

We had concerns about a slumping spot on our roof and they came out within a day to do an assessment that gave us peace of mind. They also did a fine job of clearing tree branches off the roof to prevent them from damaging shingles. Xander was great to work with. All in all a five star experience.Posted on Google Brad OlsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Went above and beyond, when it turned out my plywood was also rotten. Worked late to get the job done. Everyone was very professional.Posted on Google Scotti FriederichsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Last week our neighbor told us he could see our roof had a hole in it from his deck. Today I called Roof Keepers and Zac said he would send Zander out to tell us how bad the damage was - same day. Zander was awesome, gave us photos, great advice, and did an excellent job. We will be calling the Roof Keepers team for any future roofing needs. I think their maintenance package is also a really smart, affordable idea for any other homeowners that don't like getting on their roof. Better to get frequent inspections than get blindsided with a preventable issue that can cost you a ton in the future.Posted on Google Brian batesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had them patch a few shingles that took a few hits during a recent storm. They came out the next day after I called to inspect and they fixed it the very next day super easy to deal with. Would like to say that there are also very affordable. Would happily recommend them to anybodyPosted on Google Jenna CorbettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience with this roofing company. They came out promptly and performed a thorough, free hail inspection without any pressure or sales tactics. While they were on my roof, they also took the time to cover some exposed rusty nails that could have become a problem down the road. I really appreciated their honesty, professionalism, and attention to detail. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy roofing company.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Q: How is roof rejuvenation different from roof replacement?
A: Roof replacement removes your existing shingles and installs a completely new roofing system. Roof rejuvenation treats your existing shingles with a plant-based bio-oil that restores their performance and extends their life. Rejuvenation costs a fraction of replacement and is the right call when your shingles still have structural integrity but need restoration.
Q: How long does a roof rejuvenation treatment take?A: Most residential applications take about two hours. There is no mess, no disruption to your property, and you can walk on your roof immediately after treatment.
Q: How many times can a roof be rejuvenated?
A: Up to three treatments are possible, one every five years, for a total of up to 15 years of additional roof life. Each treatment is assessed individually to make sure your roof still qualifies.
Q: Do you offer financing for roof rejuvenation?
A: Yes. We offer financing with a high approval rate above 90% so roof rejuvenation is accessible for every FM area homeowner who needs it.
